With Michigan State 11-9 (5-9) in conference entering the week knocking off both Illinois and Ohio State it’s time to shake up the top heavy voting in the top 10.
Ohio State will fall out from two losses to #3 Michigan and now 13-9 Michigan State.
Illinois is now 17-6 (13-4) with losses to Rutgers and Maryland. Had to win a game in OT against Nebraska who is 5-17 (1-14). They play #23 Wisconsin Saturday and could fall again.
Michigan, Ohio State, Illinois, and Iowa all in the top 10 is simply putting way to much weight on this league.
When will they decide on a league’s prestige being misguided?
NET and strength of schedule I get, but when you go from beating one of the best to losing to some of the worst in your league it should do more damage.
Would be frustrated if a 8 or 9 loss Big Ten team is equal or superior to a 2nd place finish SEC team.
We have no bad losses on our resume to speak of. The BIG10 having more AP top 25 games between each other has more to do with voting than it does prove quality of competition.
If they keep letting them ping pong back and forth without dropping their perception it’s not fair to other leagues.
March Madness may determine the league is overrated and at what cost? Poor seed placement for other teams who may prove better in the dance.
My rant for the evening, but happy to be proven wrong when the time comes.
Really just interested in Arkansas getting their fair shake on a top 10 upset this week.
Let us climb!
