Sitting at 9 tackles (6 solo) with an INT and PBU along with a FF that was negated by a bad early whistle on forward progress (not reviewable)

Chase Young deserves all the love and accolades he’s getting as he’s having a great rookie campaign, but it’s unfortunate that his status as 2nd overall pick is completely overshadowing Curl’s arguably better season.

Thru 14 games (and despite not starting until week 8), Curl is 2nd on WFT with 77 tackles (1st on team with 54 solo stops), tied for 5th with 2 sacks

I am very pleased to have these dudes back and imagine there’s more on the way. I have to think that this is a trend in most every other program - keeping solid seniors that have little to no chances in the draft- resulting in a wash by comparison.
I do think the impact can change from program to program based on retaining folks where you are razor thin without them. Linebacker and Oline comes to mind which is great for us.

RIP... I had an opportunity to meet and interview Phillips as a freshman writing for The Arkansas Traveler. Incredibly nice man. Also an incredible career if you look at his achievements. The quotes I found from Frank Broyles for this obituary are pretty great...

I look at it as a Chris Leak/Tim Tebow thing. Not that I think our qb’s are on that level, but I don’t think it will be controversial. Hornsby has too much speed to keep off the field, just like Tebow was too much of a short game threat not to play. No, I haven’t been drinking or drugging.
