So... LB situation. Who plays?

Presuming Bumper is out, Draper is out, and Edwards is out, that leaves Andrew Parker, Hayden Henry, and Grant Morgan, right? Who else do we play to help them out? Zimos still needs to put on some weight (though he's added 20 pounds I think), Towers is a true fresh and needs to add weight, Stewart is listed at DL but i figure he could help. Does Burrle make an appearance? Yurachek? Bring down Smith or Myles Mason? Genuinely curious and concerned haha

Ole Miss @ Arkansas.

Tie breaker: Receiving yards for TE Blake Kern

@Hogswell Hogs wants me to carryover the $100 so I'll do just that. $200 to the poster with a correct score prediction.*

Interesting advanced stat (?)

Someone mentioned earlier this week how Bama nearly gained all the possible yards available to them from scrimmage against Ole Miss (ie it wasn’t that much different than Bama vs. air). I think that would be an interesting advanced stat - yards from scrimmage/yards available from scrimmage.

A next level twist would be to plot that vs. offensive time of possession. Would allow you to separate explosive offense (2020 Bama) vs. dominating time of possession offense (2019 Navy) vs. ball control offense (1910’s-2000s Cabot Panthers) vs. anemic offense (Morris Arkansas).

Explosive: High yds gained/yds available, low TOP
Dominating TOP: High yds gained/yds available, high TOP
Ball Control: low yds gained/yds available, high TOP
Anemic: low yds gained/yds available, low TOP

Watching Football Before Your Game

Coach Pitman's comments last week about how it seemed to him the team was more interested in watching the game on the stadium big screen than in warming up reminded me of something. Frank Broyles always had a rule that his team could NOT watch any other football before their games. He felt like it had the potential to drain the emotional energy from the players before they got on the field. Of course, this was in the day when there were only one or two games on TV each Saturday. Not sure you could enforce something like that today, but maybe he was on to something.
