OT EPL Season starts Friday

I know we have some fans of EPL teams on the board (or at least we did). Wanted to get everyone's opinion on who wins the league, who gets top 4? Here's my top 4 respectively:

1)Liverpool
2)Man City
3)Tottenham
4)Chelsea

First off, I'm a Liverpool fan, so I have a bit of a bias. I do think Liverpool challenge City for the title, with that said, my heart says Liverpool win the league, my mind says City. As for Tottenham, they have looked great in preseason, haven't lost any key players off the roster, but also haven't really added anyone, I see them sustaining the upward trajectory, but not eclipsing the top 2. 4th place was so tough, I though long and hard about putting United in there, but ultimately I just don't think I can trust Jose not to blow that team up, they have a great roster, but it's Jose's 3rd year for United and that has been always been where it goes wrong from him, and if the preseason is any indicator, he might have a very miserable season. I chose Chelsea because I think Sarri is a great coach and they managed to get a great replacement for Courtois, they kept Hazard (well there's still a few hours left in the transfer market) and I the he kicks back on this year and has the type of season he had 2 years ago for Chelsea, I think their one downside is uncertainty at the forward position, can Morata or Giroud get the goals Chelsea need from them, that I'm not 100 percent sure of.

Enjoyed last years thread, best of luck to all. Can't wait for EPL games and Hog games on Saturdays!

Media access

Since our favorite topics on this board right now are comparing how different this coaching staff is to the previous, how does the info and access we are getting from practice differ?

To me this staff seems way more closed off with access and info. Covid protocols likely have something to do with it. Last staff allowed first 15-20 minutes of every practice which was still pretty restrictive and you really didn't gain a ton of insight since no access to any live scrimmages or plays. We are working of crumbs now and the occasional school released highlight video after each practice that up to this point has us with intimate visuals of the water bottles.

OT Census workers face guns in NM

My son is a Census mgr and in rural NM the collectors are met by armed citizens, no shootings. My take is WTH? And I thought Arkansas rurally was backwards. Please respond by Web or mail it’s only once a decade. He’s put in over 80 hours each of the last two weeks and needs more time with my granddaughter. I’ll see if I can post a pic of her on the new board, if not I’ll go with avatar. As my other son said, most newborns are hideous she’s just not so ugly. Ah family, enjoy your Sunday we actually have football this season.

Football HawgBeat Camp Notebook: OL coach out, Burks tidbits, more

Lots of info in here, as always... https://arkansas.rivals.com/news/hawgbeat-camp-notebook-ol-coach-out-burks-tidbits-more

Apologies for getting this up so late. Had to have a guy come out and look at our A/C (think we got the issue resolved) + our 9-month-old is still dealing with an ear infection, so not exactly a fun night at the Hutchinson house.

Also, we should have a ton of content from these interviews and the interviews we get tomorrow over the next few days, especially with no availabilities Wednesday or Thursday. Gotta space stuff out. But if you want, go watch the interviews from tonight. I thought they were pretty informative.

FB Recruiting Rivals Rankings Week: 2021 class heading into final season

Here are the 5-stars, think they're announcing them every 20 minutes if you want to follow along:

Keep your fingers crossed for the dudes on the brink of 4-star status like Javion Hunt, AJ Green, Bryce Stephens, Raheim Sanders. Cole Carson is like 17 spots out from 4-star status in the state of Texas.

I'm thinking I'll go see Solomon Wright on Friday, they're playing at Gravette

Football UCA fall football schedule

This is pretty crazy to me. The Southland canceled its fall football season with the intent of playing a conference schedule in the spring. However, it is allowing its schools to play non-conference games still.

UCA has every intention of playing a full schedule this fall. Here's what the Bears have so far...
Aug. 29 - vs. Austin Peay (in Montgomery, Ala.) - on ESPN!
Sept. 3 - @ UAB
Sept. 19 - @ Arkansas State
Sept. 26 - vs. Missouri State (Bobby Petrino returns to Arkansas!)
Oct. 17 - @ Missouri State (an in-season home-and-home!)
Nov. 21 - @ LA-Lafayette

I respect the hustle by the UCA AD... Getting a nationally televised game as one of - if not THE - only college football game next weekend, the only home game scheduled so far will draw the max possible crowd because it's Bobby Petrino, probably not having to pay for that home game either because it's a home-and-home, plus three games vs. FBS foes - which means they're probably getting a check.

Pretty impressive.

Football Pre-Week 2 notes

Besides center, the biggest question mark on the offense is at right tackle. They've got Wagner, Gatlin, Luke Jones and Brady Latham all rotating. Think Wagner had a minor injury but can't confirm. Behind Limmer att RG they're working Clenin, Jones and St. John. Tyson Morris is out for now with a hand injury, again can't confirm.

They've got Coates and Gerald as the starters at the ends which we essentially knew already with Soli working as a jack linebacker and it sounds like they're testing those right tackles out pretty good.

Believe Jalen Catalon is already back to work but not participating in scrimmage portions right now so it's Foucha and Myles Mason right now. Jerry Jacobs has impressed a lot of folks and Foucha seems to have come along a lot since last season. They told us last week Khari Johnson is working behind Greg Brooks at nickel. I wanna ask more about Devin Bush. Think Hutch said McClellion was out Wednesday but it sounds like he's going to be played out of his spot.

Hutch will have plenty more takeaways in the next couple days I bet since there's two viewing sessions.
