2 biggest factors for Hogs success this season, Franks & Odom

I believe Hogs will have a successful season if Franks and Odom live up to their potential and past resume.

SUCKING down the Kool Aid all weekend.

It's a team effort, many pieces involved, so many unknowns / ? marks at certain positions, and ? marks on how COVID will effect everyone / every team, but i truly believe our record will mainly reflect how good these 2 perform.

I've watched highlight videos of Franks all weekend. Yes different team and pre injury, but he has a chance to be elite.
He brings to the table everything we need in a leader and QB. There is no doubt FL team loved him, he was their leader, he has swag and confidence, he has SEC experience against the best, he can extend plays, he can escape, he can scramble, he's cool under pressure, he's fearless, he has a strong arm, has touch, he leads his receivers, and he puts the ball up high for his guys to go get it. Look at his highlights and the maturity / leadership / decision making he had on the field. I truly believe he can lead us to 5 wins.
OL will be solid, great 1st team WRs, 1 great receiving TE, and great group of RBs to take pressure off him.
I also hope Briles lives up to his hype and i believe he will, putting our guys in the best situations to succeed and feed the studs.

Odom will have his work cut out for him, but if he can get the Hogs D to the middle of the defensive rankings in the SEC, which is possible with this group we will win 5 games.
DL will be better than we thought, secondary will be our strength, LB still alot of ? marks and need them to step up, but with playing 5 DBs with a hybrid LB-S, Odom can make up for lack of LB output. I truly believe our secondary will look totally different (needed Catalon to be at full strength that hurt)
Odom has a reputation and resume of being a great DC, we need him to be, but only to get us to the middle of the pack this year. If he can get us to 6 -7 in D rankings we win 5

OT “New” Shingles vaccine, Shingrix. Anyone done it?

So I got a shingles vaccine about 4 years ago and soon after that I was advised by my doc that there was a new vaccine that was way more effective. Two separate shots for the “new vaccine and I think its brand name is Shingrix. So I tried to get it but early on there was shortage. Over the last year I have asked my new Doctor, and again a Pharmacist at Walgreens just yesterday if I could get the new Shingrix vaccine. BOTH told that they wouldnt do it because it made people “sick”, and feel so bad that many didn’t come back for the second dose.

Who’s had the new 2 dose vaccine and did you have significant side effects??

I’m leaNing towards getting it because I’ve seen loved ones with Shingles and it is really bad.

OT Quiet Riot Drummer Frankie Banali dead at 68

Login to view embedded media This one hurts. Quiet Riot was my introduction into rock. I was three years old and rode around in my brother’s truck while he played the Metal Health album along with The Doors greatest hits and Ozzy’s No More Tears album. It hurt when Dubrow died, but Banali, too? Damn. Sarzo is the only original member left. Rhoads was an original member way back when, though their current guitarist has been in his post since. Rip.

On Ball...

Right now, I like Arkansas as the front runner. Jermaine Smith is from Atlanta, he has really recruited Ball well, and the two have connected.

Also, Ball feels he can play early in Fayetteville, and that is VERY important to him.

Georgia Tech is another one to watch, but if Ball was committed tomorrow, you’d see a FutureCast in for the Razorbacks. I am close to putting one in any way.

Arkansas

"It's a total mess from top to bottom."

"What's the identity of this program? Are they a hard-nosed smashmouth team? That didn't work. Are they going to beat you with spread and tempo and use Texas kids? That didn't work."

"Last year was a total mess. They were vanilla on offense and defense the entire time Chad Morris was there. They were the worst-looking team on film in the conference, maybe in Power 5. Confused, out of place, low effort, no communication."

"That they landed on Sam (Pittman) is really telling. He's a well-respected career assistant who is great at his job, but it's hard to find what he can say or do with that program that could suddenly turn things around. They've got no personnel. The roster right now looks like NCAA sanctions hit them."

"(Rakeem) Boyd coming back was huge, he and Feleipe Franks are a decent place to start."

"The offensive line isn't horrible."

"(Offensive coordinator) Kendal Briles is a strange hire. They don't have the bodies to run that system, and he's had chemistry issues on other staffs. That hire told a lot of coaches that Sam wasn't alone in making the decisions."

"They want to score points, but they don't really get those dynamic Big 12-type of skill position bodies in recruiting."

"Defensively they're terrible, but Barry Odom is one of the best coordinators in the country. He can't work miracles, but they'll blend schemes and figure out what fits who they have. They should go out and work the portal."
