Arkansas' NIL, revenue sharing estimates for 2025

Good resource here.

Per estimates, Arkansas is expected to have roughly $20.5 million in revenue sharing for players in 2025. The NCAA projects that SEC teams will use 77.1% of their revenue-sharing allotment on football. *IF* true, that's roughly $15.8 million for Arkansas.

With 85 eligible athletes, that equals out to about $185,882 per player.

As for collective funding, the NCAA estimates Arkansas to receive $11.5 million. That's 10th in the SEC.

Dover Girls Basketball

Anyone from Dover/have kids that have played Dover?

I have heard that Dover has a transgender player on their girls team, that has been on hormones since grade school and has gone to court to have her birth cert changed to female, which the Dover superintendent thinks is legal. There is a law/bill out there that prevents transgender student athletes from competing in their non bio sex sporting events.

The player from Dover looks every bit of a boy playing girls, build and play wise.

Not sure how/why it hadnt been brought up before? Maybe people are scared to talk about it? Their are some investigative journalists on the story right now doing their due diligence. Would hate for it to be true and a state championship be tarnished by something so easy to not do (break the law).

Arkansas Spring Practice Notebook No. 4

The Arkansas football team held its fourth practice of the 2025 spring schedule on Saturday morning at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, and it was the second day of full pads for the Razorbacks.

Media members were let in to view about two hours of practice inside Razorback Stadium, and as always, HawgBeat has plenty of notes for subscribers.

Provided below are key takeaways, overall themes from practice, a three-deep depth chart, results from live team periods and situational drives, kickers and more.

-----------

Notes/Tidbits

The Rundown

Practice officially began at approximately 10:10 a.m. CT and we walked out around 12:30 p.m. CT. We watched individual drills, some punt team work and then plenty of live team run with situational periods.

Late-game drives

To close out practice, each offensive group had the chance to drive down the field with a situation presented of 50 seconds on the clock, two timeouts and the drive starts from their own 37-yard line. The goal was to at least get a field goal.

The first team offense went as follows: incomplete pass, sack, incomplete pass (probably another sack) and then a scramble from Taylen Green that was not good enough for a first down. Danny Saili had the official sack and Charlie Collins had what we believe would've been another sack.

Things didn't get much better for the second team offense, which converted just one first down with a 10-yard completion from KJ Jackson to Monte Harrison. That group also couldn't convert on fourth down, which featured a pass deflection from freshman JJ Shelton.

Red zone work

All three offensive groups had a shot to score during high red zone drills against the respective defensive groups. The first team offense featured a sack by Charlie Collins, a read option for Green, an interception by Green to Miguel Mitchell and a handoff to Rodney Hill that wasn't good enough for a score.

The second team offense didn't have much to show for, but true freshman Madden Iamaleava completed a touchdown to Maddox Lassiter on the first play of the third team offense's work. Iamaleava also completed a touchdown to Courtney Crutchfield on a nice throw and catch with Aidan McCowan in coverage.

JJ Shelton has good day

True freshman nickel JJ Shelton made several plays during Saturday’s practice. Probably the most impressive play I saw was when he picked off fellow freshman Madden Iamaleava on the right side of the field during the live team period.

Is Charlie Von Der Meden poised to be the starting kicker?

Charlie Von Der Meden, a redshirt freshman kicker who saw brief play on kickoffs last season, ran out as the first-team kicker towards the end of practice.

Von Der Meden nailed field goals of 47, 36 and 26 yards during the final team period of the practice. True freshman Scott Starzyk and Blake Ford also got kicks up. Punter Devin Bale was the first team holder and redshirt sophomore Max Schmidly was the first team snapper.

One kick by Starzyk did get blocked and it looked like it might've been Danny Saili who got a hand on it, but we could not confirm.

Former Razorbacks in attendance

Former Razorbacks Andrew Armstrong, Isaac TeSlaa, Hudson Clark, Eric Gregory and Anton Juncaj were all spotted in attendance for Saturday’s practice.

Notable plays

- WR Kam Shanks motioned into the backfield and took a handoff 25 yards for a touchdown. We also saw Raylen Sharpe used on a motion followed by handoff.

- KJ Jackson made a nice throw across his body for a 60-yard completion to Maddox Lassiter.

- During the live team period, Mike Washington took a handoff, spun out of a tackle and rumbled in for a touchdown in the red zone.

- Shelton had a nice interception on a pass from Madden Iamaleava during the 11-on-11 period.

- Iamaleava threw a dime to Lassiter in the endzone for a touchdown.

- Iamaleava found Courtney Crutchfield in the endzone, who made a great catch while being covered by Aidan McCowan.

- During red zone situational work, JuJu Pope had a strong run from 20 yards out for a touchdown.

- Larry Worth III had multiple pass deflections against Taylen Green and Blake Boda during 7-on-7 drills.

- Ahkhari Johnson picked off Taylen Green during 7-on-7s.

Razorbacks even series against Ole Miss with 12-3 win

The No. 3 Arkansas baseball team (17-2, 1-1 SEC) evened up its Southeastern Conference opening series Saturday with a 12-3 win over the No. 13 Ole Miss Rebels (15-3, 1-1 SEC) at Swayze Field in Oxford, Mississippi.

With the win, Dave Van Horn now has 900 as head coach of the Razorbacks. His 1,484 career wins are second most among all active Division I head coaches and he is the second-winningest coach in Arkansas history behind Norm DeBryin (1,161 wins with the Hogs).

Arkansas starting pitcher Gabe Gaeckle struggled out of the gate, but settled in as the innings went by and ended up turning in a solid performance. He finished his outing with eight strikeouts, three walks, one hit and two earned runs in 4.0 innings pitched.

Two pitchers — lefty Parker Coil and righty Aiden Jimenez — combined for 5.0 innings of relief for Gaeckle, and they helped hold the Rebels' offense to a 4-for-32 day at the plate with 18 strikeouts.

Hogs' leadoff man Charles Davalan went 4-for-6 at the plate with three RBIs and a homerun. Wehiwa and Kuhio Aloy, Logan Maxwell and Nolan Souza added long balls, while Cam Kozeal racked up three hits and an RBI.

Arkansas took its first lead of the weekend in the top of the first, 1-0, thanks to a sacrifice fly by Brent Iredale. Charles Davalan led the inning off with a single and he came around to score on the play.

Gaeckle, who has struggled some in first innings this season, continued that trend with two allowed runs against the Rebels in their first time up to the plate. It could've been much worse for the righty, as he escaped a bases-loaded jam on a double play.

Both starters, Ole Miss' Riley Maddox and Gaeckle, responded with hitless frames in the second inning. Gaeckle notched his third and fourth strikeout in the process, as well.

The Razorbacks were unable to strike in the third despite getting their first two baserunners on and then loading the bases, but Gaeckle kept the Rebels quiet with two more punchouts sandwiched around a Cam Kozeal error.

Offense was hard to come by in the fourth, as both pitchers faced the minimum and combined for three strikeouts — including two more for Gaeckle to up his total to eight.

The dam finally broke in the top of the fifth for the Razorbacks. 9-hole Justin Thomas Jr. reached base via a single to leadoff, then Davalan grabbed a 3-2 for the Hogs on a bomb to right field. Following an Ole Miss pitching change to RHP Will McCausland, both Wehiwa and Kuhio Aloy sent moonshots over the outfield wall to increase the Arkansas advantage to 5-2.

Rocco Peppi picked up his first hit of the day, an RBI single through the left side that forced another pitching change, this time to lefty Ryne Rodriguez. Rodriguez promptly gave up a double to Kozeal to plate another run. Two more runs crossed home plate before the Hogs were finally retired, now up 9-2.

Gaeckle's day came to an end in the fifth, as lefty Parker Coil came on in relief. The southpaw got tagged with two singles, but stranded both with a strikeout to end the inning.

After an unproductive top of the sixth for Arkansas, Coil collected three more strikeouts, but did give up a solo homer to make the score 9-3, Razorbacks.

Arkansas replaced Coil with right-hander Aiden Jimenez in the bottom of the seventh, and the former Oregon State transfer struck out two in his debut frame.

Ole Miss ran out right-hander Landon Waters again in the eighth, and all he did was strike out Wehiwa Aloy, Kuhio Aloy and Brent Iredale in 1-2-3 fashion. Jimenez capped off the inning with his third and fourth strikeouts.

With five straight offensive strikeouts, it seemed as if Arkansas' offense had fallen asleep. That is, until Maxwell and pinch-hitter Nolan Souza led off the ninth with back-to-back right-field home runs. Davalan drove in one more two-out run on a single to increase the lead to 12-3.

Jimenez slammed the door shut in the bottom of the ninth with two strikeouts and a fly out.

Up next, Arkansas and Ole Miss will meet again at Swayze Field in Oxford, Mississippi, for Game 3 of the three-game series Sunday. First pitch is set for 1:30 p.m. CT and the game will be streamed on SEC Network+.
