Penny sounded like a thug. If Eric dropped the f-bombs like that, I guarantee he would be ridiculed by the fans in this state. That was extremely unprofessional. Sounds like a spoiled brat that has issues with accountability.
But…. But….. he was a great NBA player…. He should easily be a great coach!
Except for Penny has no business coaching.
So did Magic, Ewing, Drexler, Mullin, etc. and none of them were good coaches
Arkansas media is soft as warm butter. I get it but all the media types in this state had a golden opportunity to eat that drunk Bielema alive and become too media dog but they were scared.

White boys get jobs with no coaching experience all the time. Hell some of them even get the best jobs, alas Kerr and Nash. So miss me with ur fake outrage
Nobody is outraged but you. Nash worked in the Warriors organization and Kerr was a GM for the Suns but I guess Penny coaching an EYBL team is comparable. If you want to defend Penny’s coaching ability and/or make it a race thing you’re more than welcome to but both are poor arguments.
But they weren’t coaches right? So what makes them qualified to be a coach, and not Penny?
And I didn’t defend his coaching ability, I defending his qualifications to be a coach. I also didn’t invent racism in the coaching ranks (in all organizations,) the ones doing the hiring did. Which are who? I’m jus speaking undeniable facts
Nash was a player development coach for the Warriors. Kerr was a GM. You’re not dumb enough to not think that qualifies you more to be a head coach than coaching an AAU team are you? Racism did keep Doc Rivers, Magic Johnson, Jason Kidd, and other black coaches from getting jobs without previous head coaching experience though so you do have a good point there.

Nash has one of the best teams in the east despite his second best player being hurt/obese and his third best player having to sit out. Steve Kerr has three world championships. Penny hasn’t won anything in the American despite having the most talented roster in the conference. Stick to selling shitty cars.
Penny would probably be a better pro coach than college coach. It’s been proven time and time again that guys CAN step into an NBA job without experience and succeed. They know the game and can relate to professional players.
But college is a different grind. You have to be hungry. You have to be able to motivate kids.
Some people can coach college. Some can coach pros. Very few can do both. Based on what we’ve seen, great pro players can succeeed as NBA coaches but struggle as college coaches. Maybe they are too far removed from that world.

Kerr got the best job when he took over from Mark Jackson and won an NBA championship with the same roster? If only Mark Jackson had been given the same chance.
So your stumbling your way into this being a race thing? Dude was given the job because he played there and was a solid pro/superstar for 4 or so seasons. Nothing more/nothing less. I know you watched the 30 for 30 on him which made you believe he was the 2nd coming of Coach Norman Dale. Calipari wins with 18 and 19 year olds year in and year out. As it’s been stated in here. Penny is soft, you get paid a lot of money to do your highly visible job with the expectation you can handle yourself as a man with the media. He would have been KD 1.0 if twitter was big in his day. I know your going to come back and say that Eric doesn’t handle himself professionally. I agree he can be a

Penny literally committed a coup against Tubby to get rid of another black head coach to get the job he handpicked and wanted. They’ve given him every resource he could possibly ask for. He’s had every opportunity to succeed. Also, Mazda’s aren’t that expensive and your ex-wife is getting half of it anyway so you aren’t fooling anyone.
Sorta like Gruden in Tampa. It happens. Monty Williams bout to put a stop to that tho..
