Game Notes for A&M (Still working on them but...)

Still working on overall game notes but one dude pops off the screen when watching A&M for sure. #8 DeMarvin Leal is a grown man. Moves around a little bit in their 3-3-5 but he's the real deal. He'd start everywhere in the country, I kid you not. Plays with really good leverage and is a very good athlete as well. We have our hands full with him. 6'4" 290 sophomore from San Antonio, was a composite 5*. The rest of their D is not on his level though at all.

Of course they have to throw a "CO-" in there. Grant shares the honors with Horn of South Carolina

Just A Thought...

I’m only mentioning this because I’ve seen first hand what this person can do as a Head Coach, and coordinator in two different locations. He is Kevin Wilson, the former head coach at Indiana University, and current offensive coordinator at tOSU. This guy is tough, smart, and old school values. He understands building a great culture in a program. He has been around elite players and molded many. Loves using the tight ends..which has been a big part of Arkansas football history of being successful, as well as using hard nose running game, complimented with a precision passing game. It is just a thought, and worth the research. Just putting out there. Wishing the Hogs the best.

On Pinion

Obviously, this is a big win for Arkansas. NCAA sanctions or not, any time you can win a battle with Kansas, you’ve done something well. I don’t need to tell you guys about the Razorbacks’ momentum, obviously. Prospects are loving Musselman’s approach. And, after last season, they’re buying the dream he’s selling.

That said, even a small step forward this season could bring this thing to a fever pitch. A step backwards, however, could slow it. Year two is incredibly pivotal for an upstart program building recruiting momentum. It can be the difference in being perceived as a novelty and a full-fledged force. It’s why recruiting success often tends to compound.

Anyway, on to Pinion.

The kid is still developing physically and adding muscle, which isn’t a bad thing at all for his upside. He’s all of 6-foot-6 and while his jumper is what everyone notices first, he also does pretty well when it comes to scoring off the dribble.

Pinion is one of the more consistent shooters in the class from a mechanics standpoint and knocks down contested 3s with some regularity. He’ll be a long-range weapon for Arkansas right away and could become a more versatile scorer if he keeps getting stronger. The athleticism there. He just has to get stronger to score on the inside with regularity in the SEC.

Hope you guys are well.

2020-2021 Basketball Season Tickets

Just got the email from the University not too long ago. They are still working on completing the schedule and said they are “confident“ that there will be 7 non-conference games and 9 conference games at Bud Walton Arena for this season.

All season ticket holders that opt in will get at least 8 games. Majority of season ticket holders will receive 2 tickets. Sounds like it’s possible to get tickets to all of the estimated 16 game schedule depending on how many people opt in.

Looking at capacity for ALL seating including students to be at about 4,000.
