How does Auburn address Hogs improvement without insulting Chad?

Answer: They don’t.

Auburn linebacker Owen Pappoe on Arkansas' offense this year:
"They look better than they have in the past few years. Definitely better than last year."

Auburn players and coaches realizing they can’t treat this game like a bye week for the first time in years thanks to Chad has kept me smiling all week.

Basketball Practice Notes: 10/06/2020

Devo: best teammate on roster, can be too unselfish at times. Great court vision and floor general. Still needs to work on shot. Neck and neck with Tate for minutes.

Notae: return has been a big boost. Still a battle between he and KK for starting guard spot. Shot-making consistency improved a lot. Much better at taking high percentage looks.

Jaylin: Will play a lot.

CV: is a "monster"

Moses: has been dominant. He and Vance will definitely compete for leading scorer. CV and Notae could, as well.

KK: Probably won't average double figures, but will be incredibly efficient. "He's so smart."

They have a defensive rotation with Desi, Moses, Tate, Smith, and CV that is apparently very difficult to score on. "Virtually impossible without luck." CV and Smith compliment each other's weaknesses well (speed, height).

Ethan: doing a nice job and improving but won't get a ton of playing time on this roster.

Wish we could get our New Orleans DB Trio all going.

I love recruiting south Louisiana and especially New Orleans. I just value the mentality guys from that area bring to a football team. We have 3 high quality DB's from down there and I'm excited to get them all going.

Joe Foucha is coming off of Co-SEC DPOTW honors after a 2 tackle 2 Int's performance. He's a physical kid too but showing off some pretty good ball skills is helping him win over fans after playing pretty beat up last year. He also picked off a pass last year and recovered a fumble so continuing to force turnovers could be a big role for him. He was a heavily recruited 3* out of McDonogh 35, a public charter school in the 7th ward of New Orleans. He chose Arkansas over 26 other scholarship offers including the rest of the SEC West as well as Tennessee, Oklahoma, Michigan, and Oregon.

Greg Brooks Jr. returns as the starting Nickelback for a second straight season. He just took his second career interception to the HOUSE! He's also a physical kid and shows some natural COD ability that's essential for a NB to have in order to cover shifty slot receivers. He took flack last year too being out of position at times but this year with his experience and a new coaching staff he's already totaling more tackles per game on average (2.27 vs 3.5) and already has an interception on the season with 8 games remaining to add to that total. He was a heavily recruited 4* out of West Jefferson HS, a public HS less than 2 miles from New Orleans city limits in nearby Harvey, LA. He chose Arkansas over 25 other offers including Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Missouri, and Vanderbilt.

Lastly we need Devin Bush to complete this trio as a true outside CB. He is the biggest of the 3 at 6' and somewhere around 200 pounds. He's got really good ball skills and was waiting on the greenlight to head to LSU in the same class as Stingley if their numbers would have allowed for it. He opposite Busta next year would be awesome and I'm super curious to see when he makes an impact because I strongly feel it's a matter of when not if. We all remember that spring game pick 6 that started his fan fare here and hopefully he emerges after coming back from whatever caused him to miss time. He was a heavily recruited 4* out of Edna Karr HS, a public charter school in 7th ward of New Orleans. He chose Arkansas over 20 other offers including LSU, Florida, Clemson, Georgia, and Texas A&M.

Hopefully this discussion expands to Kelin Burrle and Andrew Parker and we continue to find a couple of defenders from down there. Looking into it over the next two classes, I definitely wouldn't mind adding an Andrew Jones from John Ehret (same HS as Scoota), a Byron Turner Jr from St. Augustine (same HS as Gio LaFrance), or a Tygee Hill 2022 DT from Edna Karr (same HS as Bush).
