I would say when he became heated and came off the sidewalk advancing towards them, he sealed his fate. With officers now being KILLED by these so called protesters (that slob was just a cowardly bitc h, he wasn't protesting anything), they are not going to be very receptive to heated people coming towards them. Can you blame them? They have families they want to go home to see.
