The defense secretary said this morning he’s against the use of the insurrection act, he didn’t know they were headed for a photo op on Monday, and he didn’t know that protestors had been removed beforehand.

Come on now folks, we all know that's playing the semantics game. That's like saying "Eat your fruit" to a kid and them thinking you mean eat a tomato. When one thinks of Tear Gas they don't think of pepper balls yet the media insists on using the term tear gas. We all know why.
It’s the CDC definition. The manufacturer also defines it as an “irritant” that causes the distress you would associate with tear gas.
The right wing media and the administration insist on not recognizing that and we all know why.
I seperate the two groups. Everyone should. The protestors deserve that. All this other BS rioting and looting has overshadowed the protestor's cause. Nobody protests at night. You protest during the day when you can be seen and heard better. Half of these rioters probably don't even know who Floyd is. They're sole intent is to rob and tear shixt up like they do on their little video games. My agenda is to dominate the rioters so the protestor's message is heard instead of being drowned out.

The protesters are protesting day and night. Trump had them beat back for his photo op at around 6:30. It was broad daylight when those cops snatched that dude out of a crowd and roughed him up that you watched last night. Either you are blind or willfully ignorant. This is always difficult as a historian. I was sitting in a group once that was discussing it. The black man in the room, a historian from SE Arkansas, generally opposes the removals. I tend to agree with him. The argument being that we should work to remember those historical moments for what they teach us. Others see monuments as too celebratory.
